“No object is mysterious. The Mystery Is Your Eye”
~Elizabeth Bowen
Mysticity is always taken as supernatural or something related to the things that are beyond our visibility. We don’t care about things we don’t see. There can be the existence of something like supernatural, but I would say that every mystery doesn’t always merge into psychic or occult. Even people around us are a mystery until and unless we truly come to know about them. The place is a mystery for us until we explore it fully. So the definition (for me) can be beyond what people take it. It can be portrayed in different ways. A writer/filmmaker puts it through in through its writings or films indulging the audience into a thriller or psychedelic experience. But rather than only into fictitious things, why can’t we involve mystery in the way of reality. Maybe it's possible if there is a change in the way people look its surroundings which could create a sense of amazement. Even nature can be a part of it.
Moments can be picturized in a way that could build a mysterious reality. Since reality is another way by which this enigma can be shown, thus life can also be a part of it. People & Nature are the most riddled thing in the universe, (as I think) which can be showcased in a way that could give a feeling of contentment or uneasiness among people. It can be ghostly, amusement, dullness, bizarre, curiosity, etc, depending on the way a person perceives it. The moments if taken wisely, by including both (people & nature) can create a different scenario altogether. Our eyes play an important part in this as well, it shows us what our mind creates, sometimes in reality and sometimes subconsciously. In this series, I have tried to showcase one such glimpse where nature and people together have created a calm yet eerie feeling for the viewers, which could bring in perplexity.
Calm and dullness can also go together to bring out the aesthetics of the world. It doesn't mean that everything that is calm would be dull or vice versa but, it is up to us, the way we see it. Sometimes one particular color brings out the tone of expression and it is already present in nature, we just have to find the correct time and way to express its essence. So, find faded situations and look for their enigma.
A very unusual theme but written well was gripping...Good keep it up
