GHAZIABAD RAPE TRAGEDY

On 18th August 2022, a 9-year-old was raped and strangled to death by a 25-year-old, neighborhood uncle, as she used to call him before her body was found in a sugarcane field in Ghaziabad. Being a small village in Ghaziabad, it didn’t get public attention much. Many such incidents are now a regular occurrence in India and all of them don’t get justice.

This series is just a representation of the little girl and her life, taken in their original house. Being a sensitive topic, I didn’t want to reveal any face and tried to metaphorically represent her through her family and the items which she used.
